Royal 8vo. 3/4 leather and lovely satin finish marbled boards and matching marbled endpapers. Bindings are attractive with only a little rubbing here and there along the joints and head and foot of spines. A set of tight, clean, very good books with some heavy foxing on prelims of all volumes and a little light foxing scattered here and there. However, all plates are in very good condition. Item #723

Affixed to the front pastedown endpaper of each volume is the engraved bookplate of C.R.L. Fletcher with a coat of arms. Charles Robert Leslie Fletcher (10/22/1857 - 4/30/1934) was an English historian.
