Bound in blue cloth stamped in gold. 12 mo. 7-3/8" x 5-1/4". 139 pp. plus 2 pp. publisher's ads for other works by John James Piatt and Mrs. Piatt. A tight, sturdy copy with a few smudges on the title page and scattered very light foxing. 1-1/2 " split beginning from bottom of back past down endpaper along the joint. Tiny chip out of the fore-edge of the free front endpaper. Wear at top and bottom of spine. A little wear at corner tips.
Expressing life, character and sentiment in the Ohio Valley, describing the Western landscape. Poems which appeared in author's previous volumes had been revised for this volume and a few corrections made.
