The Brushwood Boy
New York: Doubleday and McClure Company, 1899. With Illustrations by Orson Lowell, including a color frontis and 28 charming pen and ink drawings and some pen and ink page decorations. Limp suede binding. 8vo. Top edge gilt. Deckled fore-edge. 119 pp. A lovely production in every aspect. Bookplate. 1902 Christmas inscription. There might have been a plain brown silk endpaper in front that is missing. There is one very fragile page of silk in the back. But its absence doesn't detract from the overall loveliness of the book.
