Greta Garbo vintage original 13 x 10 black and white silver gelatin photo by Clarence Sinclair Bull
Early 1930s. Item #368
From a collection of photos of Garbo specially printed for her by Clarence Sinclair Bull and William Daniels. Bull himself worked in the dark room and printed all the portrait photos on very expensive heavy paper. He then sent them to her by messenger. They capture all the incredible beauty and detail from the original negatives.
The collection of photos eventually ended up in the possession of a close friend of Garbo’s and then was later sold by his son to Charles Hamilton in 1982.
These magnificent photos represent the peak of Garbo’s career, her greatest achievements in the movies, and the ultimate in the art of Hollywood’s greatest photographers.
Included is a copy of a 3 page letter written by Charles Hamilton describing the collection and offering it to a client.
Miss Garbo treasured these images and carefully put them away in albums. They have barely seen the light of day until now. They are in pristine condition.
