Gutters and margins around endpapers a little darkened. Cover is slightly darkened at about 1/8" deep at the top and bottom edges. Overall, this is an amazingly beautiful copy. / Jacket is clean and crisp with 3/8" deep chips at top and bottom of spine. 1/4" scrape on front panel. One 2" horizontal closed tear at the bottom of the front panel. A little creasing at top and bottom edges. And a little rubbing along the joints of jacket. Item #10

Laura Adams Armer won the Newbery Award for her 1931 book about Navajo life, Waterless Mountain. Each page of text has a small marginal page drawing of aboriginal art, all different and printed in different colors of ink. There are 20 of these charming little drawings in all.
